ProLeg is a cross-border collaboration between TFTAK (Estonia) and Alojas (Latvia) to develop new food applications using legume-based proteins and fibers, shifting these ingredients from feed-grade to high-value food solutions. 

Innovation is driven by consumer trends towards sustainability and nutrition, economic efficiency, and enhanced product quality. The project combines TFTAK’s expertise in protein technology and food innovation with Alojas’ strength in agri-food production and processing. This collaboration allows the partners to integrate research, development, and practical applications. A cross-border approach is essential to leverage the unique strengths of each partner, facilitate knowledge exchange, and create solutions applicable across regions, enhancing both technological innovation and market reach.
